Chef Plum’s Apple Bourbon Ginger Snap Cocktail

Whilst perusing recipes in search for cocktails that combine Bourbon and ginger we came across a delightfully simple creation from our friend & local celebrity chef, Chef Plum. It is a great, easy sipper perfect for the winter season.

Chef Plum’s Apple Bourbon Ginger Snap Cocktail

In a shaker glass filled with ice add:

• 2 Ounces of Good Locally Sourced Apple Cider
• 1 ½ Ounces Bourbon
• 1 Ounce Ginger Syrup*

Shake and Serve on the Rocks.  Garnish with an apple slice.

*Ginger Syrup
In a small sauce pan add:

• 1/2 Cup Sugar
• 1/2 Cup Water
• ¼ Cup Peeled and Diced Ginger Root

Slowly bring to a boil stirring, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.  Strain into a sterile glass bottle (will keep 7-10 days in the refrigerator).
