Apple Butter Old Fashioned

Fall is apple season and today’s clever cocktail captures the essence of apple with a bit of spice using apple butter. When making the Apple Butter Old Fashioned, first dry shake the ingredients (without ice) to incorporate the apple butter into the other elements of the cocktail. It is a great fall sipper that is a little bit boozy and a little bit sweet.

Apple Butter Old Fashioned

In an empty shaker glass add:

• 2 Ounces Well-Bred Bourbon
• 1 Tablespoon Apple Butter
• ½ Ounce Fresh Apple Cider
• 2 Dashes of Angostura Bitters

Vigorously dry shake ingredients for 30 seconds.  Then add ice and shake another 30 seconds till cold.  Strain over fresh ice into a cinnamon-sugar rimmed Old Fashioned Glass.  Splash with club soda (optional).  Garnish with a fresh apple slice & a cinnamon stick.
